It’s that time again!
Time to answer 5 quick Qs about my favs that I’ve been asked lately!
What is your favorite way to spend an ideal “dream day”?
Nice answer? Spending time with my family all day doing something fun.
Real answer? Spending time ALL BY MYSELF *anywhere* doing *nothing*. lol I long for this. I haven’t done it in over 6 years!
What is your favorite browser?
Well, I used to use Firefox all the time, but since I was selected to participate in a Google Chrome OS pilot program, I’ve been using Chrome instead.
I really do like Chrome. My house is kind of Google-loyal. hahaha
You said you’re going to start a weight loss challenge… What is your favorite weight loss tool?
SparkPeople!!! You can track your food, exercise, and lots of other goals… you can chat with others, join groups, blog, participate in challenges, get recipes, and so much more.
What is your favorite phonics curriculum for homeschooling and teaching a kid to read?
I absolutely LOVE The Ordinary Parent’s Guide to Teaching Reading (affiliate link) by Jessie Wise and Sara Buffington. LOVE it. My daughter decided on her 4th birthday that she wanted to learn to read, so that’s when we started this program. We went fast through the first 80-90 lessons and have since slowed down quite a bit. She’s 5.5 reading at a 2nd grade+ reading level right now. It’s awesome! By the time your student finishes the book, they should be reading on at least a 4th grade reading level. There are well over 200 lessons in this book.
What is your favorite color?
Green. You’ve probably guessed that just from hanging around my blog a bit. 🙂
