Giving Diapers Giving Hope is an awesome organization that you need to know more about. It helps families just like yours to be able to diaper their baby, even if money is tight.
If you are planning on cloth diapering (or you already are) – WOOHOO! You rock!
Cloth diapers can be less expensive, gentler on the skin without all the yucky chemicals in disposables, and can help keep disposables out of the landfills. There are also so many CUTE diapers out there these days! I used to frequent DiaperSwappers, Diaper Pin, and Hyena Cart to buy, sell, and trade cloth diapers for my little ones. 🙂 I won’t lie, it can get addicting and sometimes I loved to get cutesie diapers. Who were they REALLY for, anyway? Okay, if it was an Elvis diaper…it was for me… but hey, it was the least I could do for myself considering I had to change diapers every couple of hours around the clock, right!? 🙂
Anyway, back to your question! Sorry. 🙂
The Cloth Diaper Foundation was a fabulous organization that I donated to several times over the years. However, they seem to be gone! Now I have found Giving Diapers Giving Hope
Mission StatementTo provide free cloth diapers to low income families to help alleviate the cost of diapering their children which will help them use their money for other essentials.
Isn’t that awesome!? We used cloth diapers for several months per child. I’ll be honest, they were easiest when the kids were not eating anything but breastmilk. Breastmilk poop doesn’t stink at ALL like formula diapers and it’s not solid. lol Gross, but true, folks! 😉 It also helps contain all those crazy blow outs the first few months! Fabric readily absorbs it where it might just slide out of the plastic disposables!
Anyway, they provide cloth diapers to applicants that have met the criteria and gone through the application process. SUCH a neat organization!
Find them on Facebook! They do some neat fundraisers, giveaways, and donation drives, so make sure you’re in the loop!
Did you ever cloth diaper your child(ren)?
