I hope you are all enjoying your Thanksgiving. Many regard this day as the traditional time to reflect on the many blessings bestowed upon us throughout the year. It warms our heart to think of the sweet moments we’ve shared with our family, the amazing accomplishments we’ve achieved, and reflect on the struggles that have made us stronger.
You are probably busy thinking of holiday gifts to give to those you love and care about and I have a great idea for you. World Vision is a wonderful organization dedicated to bettering the lives of children, women, families all around the world. You’ve probably heard of their child sponsorship program. Find out more about the work they do around the US & the world.
For the holidays, I’d like for you to consider their gift catalog. For a $50 donation, for example, you could provide and deliver a child in a developing country a wheelchair to help with their special needs. For $18, you could provide 3 ducks to a struggling family as a source of food and income from selling the eggs. A foot-powered water pump can provide on-demand irrigation systems to farming families for a mere $200 donation. You could even provide meals to a needy US family for 3 days with a donation of only $48.

Look at this gorgeous necklace comprised of tons of beautiful glass beads… It could be yours for free with a $100 or more gift to the Maximum Impact Fund. This would be a worthy cause to donate to for Christmas this year. How special would it be to give the necklace with a note of the $100+ donation in your loved one’s honor?

I am actually very familiar with this organization and love the work that they are doing. Our last church did a big fundraiser with the youth to help buy animals. Very Awesome!
I cant say I learned anything new from the site…I wish I could, I just got their current brochure in the mail and barely finished reading all of it. :/
