Good grief, this has gone fast. I am already 36 weeks pregnant. How the heck did that happen??? Here are some general updates on me, along with a current belly shot. ๐

Is this your first VBAC? I had one for my last birth and am looking to have my second…it’s the BEST!!! Sounds like you have a great doctor too.
Regarding the episiotomy, tearing is better because it heals more “securely” because it is a jagged edge rather than a smooth edge. That is what I have been told, anyway. ๐
Hope you continue to do so well and feel good too! I am 34 weeks and am excited as well…woo hoo!
By the way, I found a changing pad cover from a consignment shop super cheap…wonderful thing to have! ๐
Happy pushing! ๐

Hi, Sally! ๐
No, this will be my 3rd VBAC. I agree that a natural tear is better than an artificial cut. Your body may barely tear superficially at just the skin level whereas a cut guarantees cutting through ALL tissue – muscle included. YUCK!!! Not what I desire in any way!
How exciting that you are 34 weeks…you’re getting close, too! ๐

THIRD VBAC is awesome!!! Yay for you! It is difficult to find doctors who are willing to work with you on one of those…I know because I live in a VERY high C-Section state and thank God, I was able to find a great doctor who is more like a midwife.
Looking forward to reading and seeing more updates! I have been following you for I don’t know how long, but have just recently been reading. ๐
