I cannot believe how fast this year has flown by. We are getting extremely, almost uncomfortably, close to the holiday season. Heck, Halloween is next week! Then we’ll have Thanksgiving (and eating WAYYYYY too much turkey and ham), followed by Christmas and celebrating our New Year. Geez, Louise!
I don’t know what your holiday plans are looking like, but it seems like we’re going to be travelling for Turkey Day to visit my mom and grandma and travelling at least once either in December or January to go visit my dad… We’ll also be hitting up Great Wolf Lodge. We are actually going thanks to a time share presentation “prize” and I’m psyched! We’ll get to stay for 2 nights DURING THE WEEK, which I think will be the very best part of the whole thing. It’ll be before everyone starts getting out for Christmas break, too. SCORE.
Is anyone excited about the holidays, too? Terrified, of course, but also excited? I am looking forward to doing many of the things that we avoided last year. We didn’t get around to driving around to look at lights last year, but we REALLY want to this year. We also missed out on several local events due to time conflicts. I’m hoping to squeeze in at least 3-4 big holiday events because I’m addicted to seeing those beautiful faces of my awesome kids just LIGHT up!!
By the way, I have decided to have a holiday gift guide this year to showcase some of my favorite products and recommend some goodies to all of you that may be scrambling to buy something special.
What are some of your must-haves this holiday season?
Oh, and not to freak you out or anything… but…..
