If you’re like me, you love to feed your family as many wholesome and fresh foods as possible. Our family thrives on fruits, veggies, and meats. When I was sent a review sample of GoFreshBaby Reusable Baby Food Pouches, I was super excited!
My kids love “squeezies”, or pureed foods in the little squeezable pouches. You know what I don’t love, though? The price tag! OUCH! Those suckers can cost anywhere from $1.25-$2.50 each. No, thank you!
I decided to make my very own pureed food, which is really more than just baby food since my kids aged 3, 6, and 7 all loved it just as much as the 1 year old! I simply combined 3 apples and a dash of cinnamon and blended it in my high powered blender. Hooray! Tasty applesauce that is cheap!
I filled up each pouch by unzipping the side (much like you would use a plastic sandwich bag, but much heavier duty), stuffing the goodness in, and then zipping it back shut. My children went wild. One kid would finish theirs before the next had even gotten a pouch. It was a bit of chaos. My only regret here is that the product doesn’t hold even MORE! Each pouch holds up to 5 ounces, which is absolutely perfect for a baby. My 1 year old is satisfied with that much during a meal, so I know it would be great for the younger crowd as well.
GoFreshBaby is great because it is:
- Dishwasher Safe
- Reusable
- Recyclable
- Freezer Safe
- Easy to Securely Seal
A 3 pack retails for just $9.99. Just imagine all of the money you’ll save! They’re easy to clean and fun to use. There are even replacement caps and a collapsible funnel for sale, as well. These would make fabulous baby shower gifts! There is no better way to control the health and nutrition of a baby than to hand-pick the exact ingredients that will go into their diet. By making your own foods, it is easier to avoid chemicals, contaminants, potential allergens, and to conform to special dietary needs. You put all of the hard work into providing the healthy foods. These fun pouches now make it easier for your child to actually eat it!
Once the kids finished up with the pouches, I quickly and easily hand washed them with warm water and a little bit of soap. The directions mentioned using a drying rack, but since I didn’t have one, I improvised.

I have purchased the Gerber baby pouches really cheap with coupons for my 7 yr old daughter’s lunch. She ended up getting made fun of because of the packaging! I was so upset that I never sent them in again. Kids can be cruel! This is a great solution and a huge money saver! I don’t think my blender would be powerful enough but the food processor should be!

The food processor would probably work just perfectly! I love that it’s so easy to customize what goes into your kiddo’s tummy this way. 🙂
