Eating a paleo diet can be a little complicated when it comes to group gatherings. Trust me, it is possible to not only eat delicious, healthy foods at Super Bowl parties, but you can stick to the paleo way of eating at the same time! No one will care that these delicious foods are dairy free and grain free, but your waistline will thank you.
3 Paleo Super Bowl Recipes
These yummy recipes are great for anyone that wants to eat clean and still have a good time chowing down with the gang. The best part is that these aren’t just limited to the Super Bowl party. These dishes are tasty any time.

Please note that you can substitute your favorite paleo-friendly oil (I like coconut oil) in the following recipes if you do not heat olive oil for your meals. That’s totally fine!!
Paleo Ancho Beef Chili with Guacamole Topping
Ingredients
Chili:
• 3 tablespoons ancho chili powder, divided
• ½ teaspoon kosher salt
• ½ teaspoon pepper
• 1½ pounds beef stew meat
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 2 cups chopped onion
• 2 cups chopped green bell pepper
• ⅓ cup chopped fresh garlic
• 3 cups organic 99% fat free, reduced-sodium beef broth
• 3 – 14.5 oz cans no-salt-added diced tomatoes, undrained
• 2 tablespoons cumin
• 1 cup chopped cilantro
Topping:
• 2 large avocados, peeled, pitted & diced
• 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
• 2 teaspoons minced garlic
• ½ teaspoon cumin
• ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
• ¼ teaspoon pepper
Instructions
1. Combine 1 tablespoon chili powder, salt and pepper in a small bowl; rub mixture evenly over beef. Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add beef, onion, bell pepper and garlic. Sauté 6 minutes, or until beef is browned.
Add broth, tomatoes, remaining 2 tablespoons chili powder and cumin. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Uncover and cook an additional 15 minutes. Stir in cilantro just before serving.
2. Combine avocado, cilantro, garlic, salt, pepper, and cumin in a medium bowl. Smash with a fork until combined. Serve on top of chili.
Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
This is a huge favorite in my family. Really, anything wrapped in bacon is delicious. Another favorite is to wrap sweet potato spears in it and bake. Give this yummy bacon-wrapped shrimp recipe a try. Your friends will be over the moon to pop these in their mouths at half time!
Ingredients
• 18 slices of bacon, halved
• 36 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 1 teaspoon water
• ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
• 3 tablespoons olive oil
• 2 tablespoons sliced garlic
Instructions
1. Cook bacon in a pan until it is cooked but still soft and pliable.
2. Combine honey and water in a large bowl. Add shrimp, and toss to coat. Sprinkle with pepper.
3. Wrap one piece of bacon around each shrimp. Divide shrimp evenly among 6 skewers.
4. Preheat broiler. Place skewers on a baking sheet; broil 3 minutes per side or until done.
5. Combine oil and garlic in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook 4 minutes, or until garlic begins to brown. Drizzle over cooked shrimp, and serve additional oil alongside shrimp for dipping.
Blackened Skirt Steak BLT Salad
Ingredients
• 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
• 1 teaspoon ground cumin
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano
• ½ teaspoon kosher salt
• ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
• 1 teaspoon olive oil
• 1 pound skirt or flank steak, trimmed
• 4 cups baby mixed greens
• 2 cups chopped tomatoes
• 4 pieces bacon, cooked and crumbled
• ½ cup thinly sliced red onion
• 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
• 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
• 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
• 1 teaspoon minced garlic
• Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat broiler. Combine paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
2. Brush olive oil evenly over steak. Sprinkle both sides with spice mixture, pressing to adhere.
3. Place on a broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from heat for 8-10 minutes, turning once.
4. Remove from oven; let stand 15 minutes before slicing.
5. Combine mixed greens, tomatoes, bacon, and red onion in a large bowl.
6. In a separate bowl, combine vinegar, oil, mustard, garlic, salt, and black pepper.
7. Stir with a whisk and toss with salad mixture. Top salad with steak.
