Are you looking for a quick and easy recipe to whip up this holiday season? One that will inspire you to get into the holiday spirit? I have the perfect recipe for you: Cocoa Dusted Almonds!
*This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/Febreze.
With just a few ingredients, you can make a wonderful treat for holiday get-togethers, or a fabulous gift to give to teachers, the mailman, family members, or even your hairdresser. It’s so easy that even your kids can help.
Cocoa-Dusted Almonds
This recipe was inspired by the Febreze Home for the Holidays scent Toasted Almond.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb raw almonds
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 8 packets sugar-free sweetener (I used Stevia and used a little less, but use your favorite!)
- pinch of salt
To Make:
1. Melt the coconut oil to a liquid and pour over your almonds in a large bowl, making sure that each almond is covered.
2. In a separate bowl, mix your dry ingredients (cornstarch, cocoa powder, sugar-free sweetener, and salt).
3. Pour the dry ingredients onto the almonds and toss until they are well coated.
4. Pour onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and back for about 25 minutes at 250 degrees. You will need to stir occasionally.
5. Cool completely and enjoy!
Feel free to make this your own! Changing up the seasonings, such as using cinnamon, nutmeg, apple pie spice, pumpkin pie spice, or even a little cayenne pepper can make this a unique and delicious treat just perfect for gifts or holiday dishes!
Febreze Home for the Holidays Collection
What scents remind you of the holidays? Do you like one continuous scent throughout your whole home, or do you mix it up with a different fragrance in various rooms?
I always think about yummy, warm baked goods. The holidays really inspire me to actually make delicious treats. The problem, really, is that I can’t help myself from indulging in them myself and I end up with a little food baby every fall and winter. 😉 It’s worth it, though, right?!
I guess one way to avoid packing on the pounds is to indulge in the scents of the season through wonderful home fragrances, like what Febreze offers in their Home for the Holidays scent collection! The have Sugared Cranberry, Apple Tart, Toasted Almond, Vanilla Latte, and even Frosted Pine. The scents are available in several forms, including scented oil, air fresheners, and wax candles.
You can even spruce up your holiday decorations by spraying them with Febreze Home for the Holidays Collection scents. What about spraying your artificial wreath or tree with Frosted Pine? Spraying your centerpieces with Sugared Cranberry or Apple Tart? Maybe even scenting your little singing Santa or snowman decoration with a little Vanilla Latte or Toasted Almond? It would be an unexpected, fun touch that would easily and instantly transform the mood of the room right into the holiday spirit!
Which Febreze Home for the Holidays Collection Scent is YOUR favorite?
Something I love about Febreze is that it truly eliminates odors, so the only thing your guests will smell is the scent you have chosen for your home. In a house full of little kiddos, this is a huge deal for me!
