LeapFrog Epic Tablet – Perfect Gift for Kids

Are you looking for an awesome tablet for your kids or grandchildren this holiday season?  Let me tell you, we are loving our new LeapFrog Epic tablet!

When our box arrived with this hot new toy, my 3 year old could hardly contain his excitement.  When he saw the package, he was ready to open it up and get started playing.

As a member of the LeapFrog Mom Squad, we got to try this hot new toy out, and it is a crowd-pleaser here for sure.

Imagine a 7″ LCD screen, 16 GB memory, WiFi capabilities, 2MP cameras, stylus, and over 20 included apps for your child to play.  Not only that, but there is a microSD slot so you can expand it up to 32 GB memory if you want.  The operating system runs off of Android 4.4 and has a 1024×600 resolution.  There is also a green protective bumper cover to help keep it safe and sound while it is being used.

Priced at $139.99, it is a good value for a tech-savvy family.  My kids have loved using it for fun and educational purposes.  You can have 3 different accounts on the system, so multiple children can enjoy it at once.

The LeapFrog Epic is recommended for ages 3-9.  My 10 year old actually likes it as well, and it grows with your child as their knowledge and interests grow and change.  Just for Me Learning technology allows you to select games that automatically adjust as your child plays and remembers their progress from game to game.

The Epic comes loaded with tons of fun games already, but you can purchase additional games based on your own child’s interests as well.  REALLY fun games they’ll love, like Doodle Jump or Fruit Ninja Academy: Math Master.

I love the parental controls.  Your child can access the web through the LeapSearch browser.  Out of the box, they’re only able to visit a few select web pages, but parents can add other safe web addresses for their child to be able to access.

There are even easy-to-use time controls on the Epic.  LOVE IT.

I’m so impressed with this LeapFrog tablet.  If you’ve seen my post on the Platinum, you already knew that my family loves LeapFrog products.  This one is a great addition to the line up, and it may be our very favorite!
