Winter Summit Overwhelmed mom

Do you ever feel like this?

Can we just be honest for a moment and admit homeschooling is hard? Really hard.

Like there are some days when I don’t know what I was thinking when I committed to doing it. Like there are some days when I don’t think I can make it to graduating all these kids. Maybe not even to May. And sometimes I find myself just trying to hang on until Christmas break.

That’s why the founder of The Homeschool Moms’ Winter Summit, a homeschool mom herself who has graduated 4, planned the event to take place every year during the dark months smack in the middle of winter. She has made it her personal ministry to encourage the hearts of homeschool moms to finish well the journey they have started.

And that’s why I make it a point to attend this event every year. I know I will spend an entire weekend

  • hanging out with homeschool moms who have traveled further down this road than I have,
  • laughing until my sides hurt,
  • encouraging homeschool moms who have yet to get as far as I am,
  • soaking up the wisdom from those who have gone before me,
  • being cheered on by those who have graduated every homeschooler in their house,
  • not cutting up anyone’s meat at dinner.

I’m telling you, this weekend is SOLID GOLD for moms who feel like they are barely hanging on. (And isn’t that all of us?) I leave this event every year feeling refreshed and empowered to go back home and love my husband and children and see through this homeschooling marathon I have started.

Homeschool Moms’ Winter Summit

The Homeschool Moms’ Winter Summit will be in San Marcos, TX on February 5-6, 2016 at the beautiful Embassy Suites. I will be throwing my suitcase in the van, picking up a few of my girlfriends and heading down the road for the most refreshing weekend of my entire year. Will you join me there? I promise, you won’t regret it!
