This is an easy recipe to scale to size.  If you’re making individual-sized pizzas, each person will need about 2-3 large spoonfuls of sauce, and roughly a handful of cheese.  If you’re making a larger pizza, sauce and cheese that baby to taste!  We tend to over-do it a bit.

You could even use tortillas as your crust if you don’t want to bother with thicker crusts.  When I use tortillas for pizza, I let them hang out in the oven as I’m preheating it so they dry out and get a little crispier before I add the sauce and cheese.

If you must, other toppings could still be added to the top!  Colorful veggies like red, green, and yellow bell peppers would be fun.  You can also arrange your colorful cheese however you’d like on the pizza.  Some like to do it with one color in the middle, like a bulls eye, and doing a circular pattern all the way to the crust area, so that when it is sliced, it looks bowed like a real rainbow.  It’s up to you!

You Will Need:

Pizza Crust, Prepared
Pizza Sauce, Marinara Sauce, or Tomato Sauce with Italian Seasonings sprinkled on top
1 package Mozzarella Shredded Cheese
Food Coloring (If you’re worried about using so much of the standard kind, there are many recipes online for DIY versions.)

To Make:

1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
2. Place your crust(s) on a cookie sheet or pizza stone,  Put sauce on top of your pizza crust as desired.
3. Separate the mozzarella shredded cheese into bowls, one for each color you’ll be making.
4. Color the mozzarella shredded cheese with your food coloring color by mixing with a fork until all the cheese is the desired color.  Repeat for all bowls.
5. Cover your pizza crust and sauce with the colored cheese, applying in whatever design you’d like.
6. When you are finished, place in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes.  Pizzas with more sauce or thicker crust may require a bit more time.
