How to Save Money at Hawaiian Falls

Hawaiian Falls is a refreshing place to make a splash this summer!  If you’re like me, though, you’re always looking for ways to save some cash on this summer destination.

Thanks to Hawaiian Falls for providing my family with tickets to visit the Roanoke location.

Hawaiian Falls Waterparks have 4 Dallas / Fort Worth locations (Garland, The Colony, Roanoke, and Mansfield), as well as one water park in Waco.  This is the perfect staycation for locals and a thrilling destination for tourists on vacation.  You get FREE parking when you visit, too.

All parks open Saturday – Thursday 10:30am – 6pm and Friday 10:30am – 8pm. Season Passholders can enter parks early at 10am.

Oh, and in JULY – Every Friday, all parks are open with extended hours, until 10pm for Friday Palooza.

SAVE MONEY Many Different Ways

Season Passes – This one seems like a no-brainer.  If you’re planning on visiting a few times during the season, a season pass is the perfect way to save cash.  Hawaiian Falls sells their season passes pretty early for the next year, and I’ve found that their pre-sale prices are SUPER LOW.  Some area businesses offer discount codes on them as well, so be sure to keep your eye out for that.  Even if you’ve waited until this summer to buy your pass and don’t have a coupon code, you’ll still save a ton.
Regular ticket prices are $21.99 for kids under 48″ and $28.99 for people 48″ and taller – and that’s for a single day.  Season passes go for $99.99 as their regular price or just $59.99 for Waco-only passes.  That’s a great deal, and there are more savings by being a season pass holder.  Pass holders get to arrive 30 minutes earlier than the general public (snag that shade early!), get weekly savings emails, get a 20% discount on all food and drink purchases, receive a coupon sheet, and more.

Military Discounts – The military discounted ticket price is $21.99 instead of the regular $28.99 for adults.  You must have a valid military ID and show it at the park.

HEROES Week – During the week of AUGUST 7-11, 2017 all Military, First Responders, Police and Fire personnel with a valid ID are invited to enjoy Hawaiian Falls absolutely free.  Must show ID/badge for this free ticket.  Each hero can bring up to 4 guests to receive discounted admission.

Teacher Appreciation Day – August 3, 2017, teachers with a school district ID can get in for FREE!  They can bring their family members, too, and those loved ones will each receive $5 off general admission prices.

Tiki Twilight – If you want to head in after work or just want to enjoy the park when the weather is cooling off a little bit, try Tiki Twilight!  Monday-Thursday, you can get there at 4PM or later and stay until closing (6PM) for just $21.99 a ticket.

Community Partner Deals – Several area businesses offer discounts on season passes and tickets throughout the summer as well.  You’ll need to keep your eyes peeled in your own community for this.  My kids went to a Vacation Bible School that was selling discounted tickets to Hawaiian Falls.  Our orthodontist also has a coupon code available to patients as a “patient appreciation” incentive.  I’m sure that these exist other places as well, so ask around in your local mom groups or on your community pages!

Hang Five Sundays – On Sundays ONLY, you can purchase 5 general admission tickets for just $115 as a bundled ticket price deal!  You can add on additional friends and family members for just $23 per person.  What a great way to say Aloha to the weekend!

Bring your own water – Factory sealed plain water bottles are allowed to be brought in at no charge.  Definitely start out with one per person, because you will want to stay hydrated.  If you think you might need quite a bit of refreshments, you might check out the next tip.

Buy a Cooler Pass – If you’re bringing a large group of people, or you just love to eat, you might save a bunch of money by grabbing a $15 daily cooler pass.  You can load it up with all sorts of food and drinks, but be aware that there are some rules about what you can and cannot bring. No alcohol, no glass, no sharp knives and no large prepared meals or fast food from restaurants.

If you want, you can leave your cooler in your car (for free, obviously!) and just head back to your vehicle when it’s time for a meal or snack.  Make sure they stamp your hand when you exit so that you can re-enter easily!  Really, if you wanted to leave Hawaiian Falls to go eat lunch or dinner somewhere and then come back, you could.  However, they serve some REALLY yummy snacks and meals, so you might consider staying onsite and giving their treats a whirl.

Throw a PARTY! – If you’re going to have a group of 8 or more, you really might look into the Hawaiian Falls Party option.  This is especially true if you’ll have people taller than 48″!  The reason I even mention this is because the party packages include 10AM admission, a reserved party area for an hour and a half, entry for you and your guests, AND food, a return ticket for the birthday child, a party host, AND discounted tickets for additional guests.  Depending on the party package, that price actually may be higher than regular admission but DOES include all of the food and/or drinks included in the package, so it ends up being a good deal!

Have you been to Hawaiian Falls yet this summer?  What are you waiting for?!  Head on over to cool off and have a total blast with the whole family.
